CP SON CANALS, in Mallorca, invites a police officer
As a part of our Comenius project, we decided to invite a police officer to our school to talk about those dangers we are exposed to if we use the internet in the wrong way.
Of course the internet is a very useful tool these days. We can't live without it any more. We can't imagine our life without laptops, computers or social networks. But he reminded us the need to learn to make good use of it. Otherwise it can become one of our main enemies.
For this reason, he numbered a long list of aspects to take into account when surfing on the internet to avoid being in trouble. He showed us some practical exemples, clarified some of our students' and teachers' doubts and reminded us some mesures for a responsible use of new technologies.
He also focused his attention on the need to organise a meeting with parents. They are responsible for their children and must know how to face with this new situation and how to work it out.
So we invited parents to hear the same speech one afternoon and it was great
